South Korea has selected Pratt & Whitney F100-229 engines to power the 20 F-16s it is buying. Greece selected the same engine to power the 50 F-16s it is buying. Greece is negotiating to buy 560 AMRAAM missiles and 750 huge 2,000-pound bombs with BLU-109 penetration kits from the US for $305 million.--Stephen V Cole
