The White House has banned deliveries of pizza, Chinese food, and other fast food for staffers working late. This is partly a security move; the fewer packages entering the building, the less chance one of them has a bomb or bioweapon. The other reason for the ban is that reporters know when a big military operation is starting because deliveries of take-out food at the Pentagon and White House skyrocket. --Stephen V Cole
