Chile is shopping for new helicopters to replace its fleet of Pumas and Super Pumas, some of which are 25 years old. It is thought that the Russian Mi-17 Hip is the most likely choice. Chile appears to have abandoned plans to buy AH-1Z attack helicopters and instead will upgrade the MD-530s it already has for use in armed recon and support missions.--Stephen V Cole
