Taiwan plans to put its Hsiung Feng 3 ship-launched anti-ship missile into mass production by the end of 2001. The missile is vertically launched, and while exact performance is classified, is thought to have a range of 200km at Mach-2. Hsiung Feng 3 is thought to have land-attack capabilities, although Taiwan is apparently developing a separate land-attack cruise missile for use from ships.--Stephen V Cole
